DASRA YPP Social Impact Internship
To learn more about social impact in India, Ishaan did a 2-week program with venture-philanthropy fund DASRA, one of the largest in India. It gave him the perspective to understand the challenges of rural farmers, and to form valuable connections with grassroots NGO leaders all over India — from the North East (Assam) to the South (Tamil Nadu).

United Nations Food & Agriculture Conference Delegate
Plant An Idea was invited to speak at the UN Food and Agriculture conference as youth advocating for change. We virtually presented our prototype and cause to investors, politicians, and youth change-makers alike — the event had over 20,000 online viewers. Watch the speech →

Rolling out the seed planter in Assam, India
After months of prototyping and testing, a few planters were rolled out in Assam. Working with DASRA and the Farm2Foods agriculture organisation over the span of a week, we met with 15+ farmers and 200+ youth. Germination rates rose by 30%, and farmers were extremely excited about the product.
